Vacation Time and Technology

The time has finally arrived for me to take my annual summer vacation.  Only one week this year, but an enjoyable week none the less.  For me, vacation always includes a dose of technology.  I'm one of those Type A people that has a hard time disconnecting.  I bring my notebook PC everywhere I go and I carry a Windows Mobile Treo which allows me to have real-time access to my e-mail, calendar, contacts, tasks and more.  For someone who like to "check" on things, this is great, though we could surely have a lively debate about whether this is wise or not.  For me, I like having the option.  This week, I plan to try my best not to "check".  I have all the confidence in the world in our wonderful staff at Jenaly.  I know they will keep our clients well served and only contact me if they have a bona fide need to.  Having my notebook with me will allow me to get online if I want to, to catch up on news or research various things I have on my lists.  We'll see how it goes!  I hope you are enjoying your summer.
